Involves classroom and practical exercises including an overnight field deployment. \nCourse content includes: \n\nSurvival in austere environments\nEquipment familiarisation/management\nHostile negotiation\nTrip planning\nCultural awareness\nHumanitarian operations\nCrowd management\nWater purification\n\nThis course is for: Medical and nursing clinicians\, Allied health workers\, Emergency services workers\, Environmental health officers who have completed a MIMMS team member course or MIMMS Advanced course and are registered on the volunteer disaster database. \nCourse location: Darwin \nUpcoming course dates: TBA \nParticipant numbers: min 12 | max 24 \nNotes: participants are selected through a comprehensive selection process and invited to join the course.
